Well said! Thanks for the updates. We’ll be posting something next week here at logz.io too!

I’d like to see more on the topic of features and cost.
Currently, as I understand it, if I want anomaly detection, watcher or other things like that in the original ES, I have to get a premium license, whereas here it… just comes free? I mean, I’m kind of confused about it. It says OpenSource, but OpenSource doesn’t necessarily mean free, so more info on that would be great.

Yup. Been using it for a while. It’s free and Apache 2.0

Open Distro is completely free which means: No costs and everything under Apache 2 License (= Opensource, which for the Apache License means basically you can do with the code and binaries whatever you want)

So you get anomaly detection, watcher like functionality, Cross Cluster Replication [1], security and a lot more for free (= no costs and real Opensource).

 Welcome Northern!

Yep. Free as in beer (gratis/no cost) and free as in speech. We could be more explicit about the no-cost thing.
