There hasn’t been an update on this issue, neither by Elastic (#1, #2), nor by floragunn (answer) or AWS (announcing security) for like a year now. Is there anything new on this side that we could be made aware of?
I know it’s a tricky thing that may take years to solve, but it would be great if we can understand the exact risks that this imposes and the possible scenarios/counter-measures that are in place. Especially during these times that things are getting wild anyway.
