From the compatibility matrix available in OpenSearch, i understood that OpenSearch 1.2.x is compatible with logstash 7.16.3 with OpenSearch output plugin support.
I could see the newer version oss logstash available in the market. So, I would like to know whether “OpenSearch output plugin” support is available for logstash oss 8.0.0/7.17.X versions?

hey @Mari. That’s a great question actually. I think this is probably a matter of testing more than anything. A new version may not be needed (I’ve seen output plugins that work for years without modification, but past behaviour may not reflect the current state).
The best course of action would be to put in an issue on the GitHub repo about support for the newer versions:
