Using CCR plugin on Elastic's distribution

I just saw that CCR feature has been released as a plugin for ODFE, which is great news. We run regular distribution of Elasticsearch with basic license. Can this plugin be used with Elastic’s distribution? I understand that version will need to be a compatible match.

I have the same doubt. I wonder if this plugin will work with the elastic’s distribution (v7.10.2) now, or if it will be compatible with the elastic distribution.

I just saw that CCR feature has been released as a plugin for ODFE

This was an experimental release and the official release was done from OpenSearch 1.1 onwards.

We are dependant on the OpenSearch related features and plugins(like security) to support cross cluster replication.
