I hope you’re all doing well.
I have a windows-based environment (installed by using the MSI installer) of Opendistro Elasticsearch & Kibana, version number 1.12.0 (both).
I recently noticed that on Kibana, I’m getting an error: “[error][data][elasticsearch] [version_conflict_engine_exception]:”
After digging here for a solution, I’ve realized I would need to upgrade both Kibana and Elasticsearch.
My question is how? I haven’t found an official article; most of the articles here are for upgrades to a Linux-based environments.
I remember the last time i tired to run an MSI installation of a newer version and overwriting the older installations, it did not work properly; many settings were deleted and it took me a while to get everything back on track.
I would highly appreciate if someone could shine some light on the subject
