Logstash and latest beats

Opensearch 2.12

Describe the issue:
If I use Logstash-oss-with-opensearch-output plug-in version 8.9, does that allow me to use v8 of the various beats?

I think yes, there’s no compatibility issue between Beats and Logstash.
