“Controls” Visualization showing incomplete dropdown options

Describe the issue:
I am currently using Opensearch Dashboard’s “Controls” Visualization to filter data using the dropdown options with “Options list”. When using an Index Pattern with about 1.7 million records, the dropdown option of terms seems to be incomplete as it does not show all available options of the data (e.g. machine.os.keyword only shows “ios” when there should be “ios”, “linux”, “android” in the dropdown box).

I used a string-type field and enabled both “Multiselect” and “Dynamic Options” when creating it.

How does the “Option list” drop down list work? Any ideas on how to resolve this?

I am referring to the Controls Visualization in Opensearch Dashboard.

Below is also an example from the “Sample Web Logs”. In my case, when creating an “Option List”, the dropdown is not showing the complete options from my data.
