Are there foreseeable consequences to AWS’ commitment towards OpenSearch?

While we’d all like OpenSearch as a community and product to outgrow AWS’ current sponsorship, I’d be concerned about the effects of such a partnership on OpenSearch in its current state.

I would be happy to get thoughts from the community in general and from AWS in particular on this topic.

This is all about Marketplace, which is a way vendors (like us) sell product to Amazon customers. It’s strictly a route to market.
