I appreciate this will not be the highest priority but thought I would mention that Elastic currently develop and maintain an Ansible role via GitHub.

Having an official OpenSearch role similar to this would be ideal. Further down the line I’d be happy to help with some initial work with this that can then be forked by or transferred over to the official project.
Moved to the OpenSearch category. Also @chrisdeeming, I would put in feature request to the build repo (https://github.com/opensearch-project/opensearch-build) for this - it’s a good idea and should be tracked!
