Standalone Kibana with AD authentication - is it possible?

Hi!

I’m rather new to this stuff (worked with ES 5-7 years ago for few months), so my assumptions may be very wrong.

May I have a standalone Kibana with Active Directory authentication? Specifically, I mean Kibana with the following plugins installed:

(sorry, can’t list plugins because of strange protection measures on forum like “Sorry, new users can only put 2 links in a post.”) - these are standard opendistro plugins set for Kibana plus Wazuh plugin.

Or is this just impossible and Kibana should be installed along with ES cluster software?
Internal auth works, but we need it to authenticate against AD…

Do I miss something or maybe I got the whole conception wrong?

@ikarpov I’m not sure I understand your question, you want to run kibana without elasticsearch? The security plugin uses its own index in elasticsearch, therefore using kibana without ES will not be possible. Or am I miss-understanding your question?
