SLM policy in open distro elasticsearch

Hello guys,
I am trying out opendistro elasticsearch Snapshot and restore feature. I have found the API documentation to take snapshots and restore as well. But nowhere I have seen how to automate this process like available in Elastic Stack. Also how can I apply lifecycle to snapshots so that they get deleted after several days. Is this feature available in Open distro as well? Can anyone help me with documentation.

We don’t have support to manage snapshot lifecycle at the moment - let us know if this an useful feature for you (we have one task to support it in our backlog)

IndexManagement plugin’s ISM policies do allow creating index snapshots as part of policy, using this action one can create an index snapshot to a repository of choosing - Policies - Open Distro Documentation
