Just a short announcement: I’m leaving the OpenSearch team. My last day is tomorrow.
It’s really been my privilege to be part of this community and to interact with all you great folks. The community is in great hands between @kris, @dtaivpp, and @nateynate. I might lurk around here every once in a while, but I won’t be able to respond meaningfully about the project.
I have every confidence that OpenSearch is in a good place and will continue to grow and develop into the software that the community needs and wants.
What’s next for me? Well, I’m staying at Amazon and still doing open source stuff but I’ll be working with operating systems: Amazon Linux and Bottlerocket OS. Reach out if that’s in your wheelhouse
Thank you Kyle @searchymcsearchface for all you’ve done to get the OpenSearch project and its community to where it is today!
Just kidding. We’ll genuinely miss you around here Kyle! Don’t be a stranger!
So sad to see you leave. Wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
wow @nateynate! That is the nicest picture I’ve ever seen.
Thank you for all you’ve done around here. It’s a bummer to see you go. Wishing you good luck on your next adventure and hope to see you around.
Going to miss you mate! RIP Kyle… Who will be replaced with this likeness of him that I am contributing to the community.
I don’t need to “Rest in Peace” jeez.
Nate… thanks for all you did here to keep this community thriving. Wish you the best in the next challenge!
@searchymcsearchface , I’m sorry, I’m blocking this move. You’re needed here too much. :). j/k. Good luck in future endeavors. I’m sure our paths will pass again.
Thank you Kyle for all your hard work and effort!
