Describe the issue: The latest version of opensearch-hadoop is 1.3, released in Sept, 2024. An issue was recently addressed ([FEATURE] Update to AWS SDK 2 · Issue #553 · opensearch-project/opensearch-hadoop · GitHub) that is tied to the upcoming end of support for the AWS SDK v1.0 (end of 2025). We’re wondering when a release might be created that includes this change, as we are approaching that end of support date and need that update in advance of the end of support date.
