Make closing the sidebar easier and/or more permanent

Versions (relevant - OpenSearch/Dashboard/Server OS/Browser): OpenSearch 2.19 running in AWS

Describe the issue: In OpenSearch 2.9 and older, closing the left sidebar required a single click, as the button to minimize it was always visible. Around 2.10 or 2.11 it could not be closed at all. 2.12 or 2.13 minimizing was enabled again. However, it now requires a click on the vertical divider in order to see the button to minimize the sidebar. This is not very intuitive, and requires more clicks to accomplish the same task that used to be a single click.

For our use case, we rarely use this sidebar as we primarily use saved searches. And the contents of that sidebar are used in the creation of those searches. So we end up minimizing the sidebar every time we load a new search in order to gain more horizontal real estate.

Going back to having the minimize button always available would be a nice improvement. Or, making it so that the sidebar stays closed when moving between searches.

Configuration: Default AWS config, theme is set to v7 (easier to colors to read with). Though I have tried the Next theme and it acts the same.
