Is it possible to customize the index .opendistro-alerting-alert-history?

Heya !
I just wanna know if it’s possible to customize .opendistro-alerting-alert-history index?
I also tried to make some rights so accounts can only see alerts in their tenants, or the ones they have access to the indexes. Didn’t find how to do it.

Thank you

Hi ThibaudF,

What type of customization are you looking to do?

Hello Drew,
I would like to choose the index name so I can customize the rights on it.
So it would only allow users to see the monitoring/alert on the indices they have rights ( can’t edit, delete or even see the other ones alerts).

Hi ThibaudF,

Currently this is not supported, but using the security plugin it is possible to set these roles in a way that allows only users of that role to view monitors / alerts with the current index name.

To add to lucaswin’s comment: https://opendistro.github.io/for-elasticsearch-docs/docs/alerting/security-roles/ has some sample roles that you can use to limit the ways users interact with the alerting index, but not quite to the degree you’re looking for.
