Running in k8s with Opensearch Dashboards 2.18, DataPrepper 2.10.
Describe the issue:
We have many services in our k8s cluster, and the generated service graph in OSD is huge and hard to navigate. There are edges between nodes everywhere.
Filtering the trace results does not also filter the displayed service graph.
Questions:
- Is there a way to define a list of services to always exclude from the service graph?
- When applying filters, is there a way to show only nodes and edges in the graph relevant to the filtered traces?
We’re also interested in knowing the near roadmap for Trace Analytics feature and Data Prepper in OSD. Both with regards to large scale clusters like ours and features like exemplars and navigating seamlessly between trace, logs and metrics.
Configuration:
We use the default Prepper pipelines for receiving traces from collector, enriching and pushing to opensearch.
