Hey Sandy381, unfortunately because Open Distro relies on the open source version of ES it is not able to do cross cluster replication as the XPack plugin only works with the Elastic licensed version of Elasticsearch.
That being said if you do like the features of Open Distro you should check out OpenSearch! We have a great guide for getting migrated if you are interested.
Also, this thread discusses some of the challenges you might face if you wanted to migrate and had XPack enabled in your Elasticsearch cluster.
