Deploying data-prepper on ec2 instance vs lambda

Versions (relevant - OpenSearch/Dashboard/Server OS/Browser):

Data-prepper: 2.7.0

Describe the issue:

I’m currently using AWS managed Data-Prepper (aka Opensearch Ingestion) for ingesting otel traces into AWS Opensearch. However, I have some cost concerns and am considering hosting Data-Prepper. Which would be a better choice - EC2 or lambda fosr hosting? How to scale and ensure availability if I decide to go down this route?
