Best way to contribute features

Hi!

my employer is interested in contributing IP filtering to OpenSearch security. We have written a proprietary Elasticsearch plugin implementing this feature way before Elastic introduced it to the paid tier of X-Pack (Restricting connections with IP filtering | Elasticsearch Guide [8.4] | Elastic).

What would be the best way to approach this? Should we share it through a pull request? Would the community be interested?
