Using OpenSearchClient for Java for Index State Management

Versions (relevant - OpenSearch/Dashboard/Server OS/Browser):

AWS OpenSearch 2.3

Describe the issue:

I’m looking at the ISM API and the OpenSearch Java Client on the official documentation website, but it’s not clear at all how I can use it to create a policy programatically (sorry for not providing links, but apparently I can’t have more than 2 in a post).

Found this old post that pointed to this AWS Docs page, but that doesn’t really answer my question either.

What is the actual API that I could use?
