Unable to switch from gobal tenant to private

Versions (relevant - OpenSearch/Dashboard/Server OS/Browser):

version is 1.2

Describe the issue:
we can not change tenant in Switch tenants part of the app. We are able to select Private, but after we click Confirm, it goes back to Global tenant.

Motivation:

We need this feature, so we don’t interfere with each others and also to separate products we maintain (EDK and CCS). Our plan is to use dashboards and visualizations for our KPI analyses and now it is not possible because it can not be structured well. When this is solved, each user can have their own dashboards for practice in private space, and functional users can be used to create dashboards in either global space or private space associated with each product.

Configuration:

Relevant Logs or Screenshots:

can any one help me on this?

Any relevant configs? Sounds like possibly a misconfiguration.

these are the config part in yml file.

opensearch_security.cookie.secure: false
opensearch_security.multitenancy.enabled: true
opensearch_security.multitenancy.tenants.enable_global: true
opensearch_security.multitenancy.tenants.enable_private: true
opensearch_security.multitenancy.tenants.preferred: [“Private”, “Global”]
opensearch_security.multitenancy.enable_filter: false

Is the tenant included in the url when you are trying to switch?
By that I mean does your url looks like: opensearch.xxx.com/app/dashboards?security_tenant=global#/view/8b7200d0-97e6-…
Switching through the interface do not act on the url and the url command will be re-run, hence going back to the tenant in the url. If you are in that case, you will need to remove the tenant from the url and refresh your page before being able to switch from the UI, or you can edit your link to directly go to the tenant of your choosing.

we didn’t include tenant name in the URL.
these are the tenants , i selected private tenant but still global is showing at left top most of the app, attached screenshots for reference

please check above comment

With the “Current” tenant showing on Private, it seems it is correctly switching and the issue may be with the value displayed below your profile.
I have never encountered this issue where these information do not match.
I would recommend to change one of the tenant settings to dark mode so you can differentiate them while OS support comes to the rescue.
