Hi, I’m Soumitra Dutta, an entrepreneur and photographer living in Oxford. I’m currently facing an issue where OpenSearch fails to start and shows the error “start operation timed out.” I’ve tried restarting the service and checking some basic settings, but the problem still persists.

Has anyone here experienced this issue before? I would really appreciate any suggestions on what might be causing it or how I can troubleshoot it further.

@soumitradutta26 welcome to the forum. In order to try and help you, you will need to provide more details, such as how is this being deployed? Bare metal, docker, k8s? rpm or binary? Can you provide the opensearch.yml configuration file and any other custom files that have been used. Feel free to redact any sensitive details if any.
