Describe the issue:
Hello,
I have deployed an OpenSearch cluster in a cloud environment.
Initially, I used NFS disks, but I started experiencing recurring UnassignedShards errors.
I suspected that the issue was related to NFS instability, so I migrated the disks to a Ceph cluster.
(Since the status of other services and the Kubernetes nodes were normal, I assumed the issue was with NFS. No other network issues were detected.)
However, even after switching to the Ceph cluster, the same errors continued. There was around 10GB of data stored, and there has been no additional data influx. After leaving it idle for a few days, I began encountering the following errors:
I suspect that there might have been instability in the cloud environment, but I’m not sure where to check further, so I am reaching out for support.
Do the errors below point to a disk I/O issue, or is it related to the network?
Interestingly, there are no issues with the Kubernetes nodes or other services (e.g., Kafka clusters).
