# Show/hide Management (specifically Dev Tools) for some users

Is there a way to hide/show dev tools to specific set of users or groups in Opensearch dashboard?

Currently no, but we have plan to implement this, may be released in this year.

thank you @gaobinlong , found a way to limit the permission on index level and cluster level thus limiting their usage on devtools.

I am in same problem can you please help me how can i restrict users to access Devtools and Stack management but wanted to open visualization and dashboard with read/write permission.

Hi @blackkite @sdas018
Were you able to figure out how to disable devtools on an index level yet allow for read write to create visualizations and dashboards? I understand it all happens in .kibana but there are several of these indexes and not sure what permissions should be restricted to make this happen. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi,
Unfortunately you can’t do this only you can control in tenant level make your tenant access as Read.
