# Open Distro AWS elasticsearch

Hi all

I am using AWS elasticsearch kibana version 7.4.2. and I want to configure Alerts for heartbeat by using the open distro. Does it supports this feature please help? and how optimal is aws elasticsearch kibana for alerts… can we also configure alerts for 4xx 5xx using open distro

Currently, Alerting is supported on the data stored in the indices. Currently, using Alerting feature we can’t alert on Elasticsearch health or Kibana health.
